Top places in Greece

Athens the 6th of Jyly 2015, a memorable summer that has already written socio-political history and will continue to influence each and every one of us one way or another.

Athens the 6th of July and we are still standing.
Some may say that it is irrelevant to talk and write about lifestyle but I have always firmly believed that lifestyle and luxury are a state of mind that both lie on the necessity and our everyday living.

I take pride in my job and my mission to lighten people’s dull daily routine.
For a better Greece, lets all go back to work and work hard to promote our civilisation.
This summer, it won’t be about Capri, Formentera, Saint Tropez, Amalfi…It is going to be about Greece and  Greece only.
It’s going to be about hotels, hidden escapes, new restaurants and finally people, the ones that matter, the charismatic ones, the inspirational, the hard workers.

This week’s 3 stops in the capital’s commercial heart Kolonaki are: a brand new super foods breakfast place, an affordable sushi and a great new all-day spot.

1. Pure Juice Bar, 21 Sina St. Kolonaki

Pure Juice Bar

A Pure Juice Bar and not only.
A variety of super foods and snacks to pick, from great smoothies that cater to all tastes to chia puddings, fresh salads, kettle chips, acai bowls with fresh fruit, Vegan & carob cakes, all these nicely packed and named in a very out of the box way.
I loved:
The “liquid lunch” smoothie with Avocado, Spinach. Tahini, dates, lemon and coconut shreds
The Clear skin elixir with green apple, ginger, vanilla, almonds and aloe vera
The Gym freak, containing almond milk, banana, cinnamon, honey, avocado
The X factor perfect for detoxing with wheatgrass, pineapple and spinach.

2. Mongo Sushi Spot, 51 Skoufa St. kolonaki, Athens.

After a full of energy breakfast head to this brand new sushi spot for some tasty yet affordable sushi.
First time I tried out Mongo Sushi spot, was in a press trip in Thessaloniki and I remember I had taken away 3 boxes of sushi that I “nibbled on while I was shopping.
Mongo is all about enjoying affordable sushi.

A great selection in front of you plus ready made bento boxes that you can take away or even grab a quick bite while you are in the city centre.

3. LowCal Athens, 14 Tsakalof St

Located in the most commercial paved street of Kolonaki, Low Cal Athens is by far the most decent new entry all-day spot in the area.
Serving breakfast and coffee in the morning, great salads for lunch and a variety of cocktails and very tasty pizzas for after-office outings.
Our favorites include the roast beef salad, the Nizzarda salad, the papardelle al ragu and the mushroom paccheri pasta.
Do not leave without trying the homemade lemonade with ginger and the tahini breakfast bar
