Early summer escapes, open air bars, a glass of Prosecco and love is in the air….
Where else better but at the eternal city.
Rome is the perfect May escape for couples and happy globetrotters like my self who love to travel alone & enjoy early evening summer drinks.
My fave Rome wine bars are:
At Campo dei Fiori this place is all about cheese and wine.
You can see the cheese selection from the windows and it is a very cozy place to have your wine on a summery evening.
Enoteca mimi e coco
This is an old school place near piazza Navona at Via del Governo Vecchio, it is open all day and is perfect for after sightseeing drinks and a bite.
Their cold cuts and cheese with a glass of wine.
It is located near Piazza di Spagna, it is one of my favourite casual places for a glass of wine.
The selection of red wines is amazing.
Not your traditional trattoria style wine bar, here everything is very well tuned and you can enjoy family recipes and a big cellar.
Caffe Canova is at Via del Bambuino a perfect spot after your CHANEL shopping with great interiors and tables outside to enjoy an early apperitivo.
Moma: Very central location at Via di San Basilico, this is a very contemporary in terms of style place with creative dishes and good wine.
Locarno: An all time classic off Piazza del Popolo.
It is a boutique hotel with a great little garden, ideal for after office drinks. The apperittivo small dishes are not that great but the ambience is.
