Coming out of the subway and walking towards The Brooklyn Museum I come face to face with one of the oldest and largest art museums in the country.
As an artist I’ve come to appreciate many kinds of art forms but when it comes to Fashion turned into art that hits my weak spot.
Especially when “that” fashion comes from Jean Paul.
In an entire floor the eccentric yet irresistible world of Jean Paul Gaultier unfolds and takes you back to the most amazing moments of fashion, runway shows, concerts, and dance performances.
This multimedia exhibition is organised around seven themes tracing the influences on Gaultier’s evolution from the streets of Paris to the cinema since he emerged as a designer in the 1970s.
You can equally compare this retrospective to the legendary exhibition of Alexander McQueen “Savage Beauty”.
The exhibition is on view until 23rd of February 2014.
We are looking forward to appreciate the greatness of this exhibition in Grand Palais in Paris in April 2015.
