On a winter’s moody afternoon, I wandered around the beautiful gardens of Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki, breathed in all the fresh air I could trap in my lungs and proceeded to its majestic lobby where I enjoyed some hand made cookies and smooth herbal tea with a view.

Back then, the hotel served high tea with the traditional scones and sandwiches-at the moment- you can enjoy tea any time of the day with all sorts of sweet-only assortments, gazing from the big, long windows the view to the hotel’s gardens.

Definitely the most civilised place in Northern Greece to pass an afternoon.
