What: InnAthens Hotel – a 22 Room Urban boutique hotel in Athens.

Where:
In the heart of Athens, in the best possible location next to the constitution square, right off Filellinon Avenue, you will find one of the cutest and most cosmopolitan Athenian arcades just opposite the very picturesque Russia-Greek Orthodox church: The Ralli arcade –  In its very end of it you will encounter the very inviting atrium of InnAthens Hotel, a relatively new addition to the city’s hotel scene.

Why Go:
-For its location and the access you will have to the city’s shopping and historic centre on foot.
-For the very warm and happening wine bar located right next to the hotel – By The glass – plus all the hip restos and wine bars that are around the hotel
-For the fact that it is “value for money” since you pay around 80 € -110€ for a big suite with nice verandas or big windows overlooking at the atrium.
-For the breakfast which is -included in the room price and it definitely gives a competitive advantage to the Inn Athens as opposed to other hotels on its league.

Who Goes: you will encounter a young and fresh European crowd, the piece de resistance is the “By the glass” wine bar which is actually open all day and you will bump into stylish locals and a generally nice mix of people having coffee, lunch or post-office drinks and nibbles.

InnAthens Hotel has opened nearly a year ago in the heart of Athens in the best possible location as mentioned above combining accessibility to all worthy attractions and night life Athens has to offer.
The hotel’s location surpasses  the majority of the other nearby city hotels cause of its cosmopolitan ambience. Although you are a breath away from all the “touristy” spots, the Ralli arcade and its surroundings are packed with nice locals, they ooze cosmopolitan air and at the same time have a feel of seclusion.

Interior wise its public places like the lobby and the bar are contemporary, warm and inviting whereas the rooms lack in character and although they are spacious with tons of lighting coming in, they feel cold and too minimal.
The bathrooms look nice and have got an modern urban feel to them but unfortunately there is a nasty smell coming out of them from time to time, plus there was a time that I tried to have a hot shower and no hot water was there.

The beds and linen are mediocre and you will definitely not get too comfortable, the in room Nespresso machine though, the veranda view and the very polite staff  will compensate but still there is the element of “home away from home” that is missing.
